New Delhi, 8th November 2024 — Demand for fixed broadband services in India has surged in recent years, propelled by the rapid adoption of Fiber to the Home (FTTH) and 5G Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) technologies. In a landmark initiative, Dixon Electro and Nokia have announced the commencement of manufacturing of Fixed Broadband Devices in India.
This collaboration will produce GPON, 5G FWA, and Mesh Wi-Fi devices capable of delivering up to one gigabit per second per home. Dixon Electro has established a dedicated manufacturing facility with a production capacity of up to 10 million devices annually, creating approximately 3,000 new jobs and contributing to local economic growth.
