Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) (BSE: 532540, NSE: TCS), a global leader in IT services, consulting, and business solutions, hosted Pedro Sánchez, President of the Government of Spain, at its premises in Mumbai, during his official visit to India. K Krithivasan, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director, TCS, met the Prime Minister and held a discussion on digitization of public services.
At the sprawling TCS Banyan Park campus in the heart of Mumbai, the Spanish PM experienced first-hand some of the largescale digital transformation projects by TCS, especially in the Spanish markets. The two leaders discussed the wide-ranging potential of technologies in improving public services and infrastructure. Sanchez, who is in India for his maiden official visit, has extended Spain’s support towards India’s growth in three major strategic sectors: renewable energies and sustainable development; urban infrastructure and mobility; and digitalisation.
The visit of the Spanish PM to a TCS campus underlines the strategic role the organization plays in promoting digitalization in Spain and neighbouring markets. Operating in Spain since 2003, TCS employs over 1,000 highly qualified associates in the country. Madrid and Ourense in Spain are also home to two of TCS’ global delivery centres that serve as nearshore hubs for customers in Europe.
