The challenges faced were manifold, with one of the most prevalent hurdles revolving around the intricacies of media buying. At that time, media buyers did not have the same comprehensive grounds for studying data that are now available with the advent of sophisticated analytic tools. The absence of advanced data analytics made it challenging to understand and optimize the effectiveness of ad placements, leading to a less precise targeting approach.
