ElectricPe wins the IET India Mobility Award 2023

ElectricPe Receives Prestigious IET India Mobility Award 2023 for Revolutionary Mobility Charging Solutions

ElectricPe was honoured with the IET India Mobility Award 2023 by the IET (Institution of Engineering and Technology) India, a global engineering body at the forefront of innovation, advocating and leading technology usage for positive social impact. ElectricPe was recognised for its innovative mobility solution that offers EV owners the convenience of simply pressing one button for a seamless charging process. The indigenously developed solution is tailored for the Indian market.

Currently, ElectricPe has onboarded 10,000 public charging points in Bengaluru, the largest network in the city and the app usage has increased by 30% month-on-month, with customers on the network completing 14 million+ green kilometres. The firm was awarded for its significant contributions towards making EV adoption more accessible, seamless, and efficient.

The IET India Mobility Award aims to recognise demonstrated excellence in pioneering new mobility solutions for the country. It is 1 of the 7 categories under the IET India awards that aim to motivate India’s large and rapidly expanding engineering talent to apply cutting-edge technologies to tackle world issues.

“The IET India Mobility Awards are not just a platform to recognise exceptional engineering efforts, but to encourage and inspire a new generation to champion technology adoption for social impact. As India outlines its EV adoption strategy, we need to utilise Made-In-India technologies to map our mobility landscape and consumer behaviour. Creating an easy-to-use charging ecosystem is the first step towards effective EV adoption. We are delighted that the jury chose to confer this award to ElectricPe for their critical contributions towards making EV adoption more accessible, seamless, and efficient.”, said Mr. Shekhar Sanyal, Country Head and Director, IET India.

The first edition of the IET India Awards was successfully concluded in 2021, in celebration of 150 years of the Institution of Engineering and Technology. Now in their third edition, the awards received a large number of entries from individuals and organizations across the country. The next edition of the awards will be announced in May 2024, and further details will be available on IET India’s official website and social media handles.

About IET India

The India chapter of the IET started operations in India in 2006, from Bangalore. Given the increasing global importance of India as an engineering hub, its aim is to make an impact that has relevance both locally and internationally. Its strategy is to bring a telling difference to the overall competency and skill levels within the Indian engineering community and play an influencing role in the industry in relation to technology innovation and solving problems of public importance. The organisation plans to do this by working in partnership with the industry, academia and the Government, focusing on the application of practical skills within both learning and career life cycles, and driving innovation and thought leadership through high-impact sectors.
