Esports and Entertainment Startup, Marcos Gaming has closed a Pre-Seed funding round, led by India Accelerator
Marcos Gaming, an Esports and entertainment startup has recently closed a Pre-Seed funding round, led by India Accelerator and Finvolve. The startup primarily works with top professional teams and athletes in various games like BGMI, Clash of clans, CS2 etc., with an intent to build a gaming community and culture across India.
The injected funds will be used for building communities through content, building IP’s and expanding into other esports titles. Work on the holistic approach in esports and entertainment ranging from grassroots to working with some of the biggest gaming influencers in India.
Founded in 2019 by Akhil Kavuturu and Sudhir Kuria, Accelerated by STPI IMAGE in Hyderabad and an angel investor Mr. Mohan Parthasarathy, Marcos has been one of the oldest running organizations because of having a clear vision and not depending on just one game title which made Marcos weather the storm of COVID and multiple game bans.

The growth of esports in India has been exponential in India with StarSports, Jio entering the ecosystem. We believe Esports will be the next big thing after Cricket in India. According to EY eSports in India, size of the Indian eSports industry would grow over fourfold from INR 2.5 Bn to INR 11 Bn by FY2025. By FY2025, India will have 1.5 million esports players.
