IG Drones, India’s premier drone service provider, has announced that it has secured a substantial work order for conducting a comprehensive drone survey based on Photogrammetry and LiDAR at the Diamond Mining Project in Panna, Madhya Pradesh. This significant contract spans three financial years, covering 2024-25, 2025-26, and 2026-27 is awarded by NMDC.
NMDC Limited, the pioneering entity behind Asia’s sole mechanized diamond mining project in the Panna district of Madhya Pradesh, has entrusted IG Drones with this pivotal task. Operating since 1968, the project spans a lease area of 276 hectares, segmented into MML and SML leases. Complying with Ministry of Mines guidelines, NMDC has mandated a drone survey of the entire lease area for the preparation of digital elevation models (DEM), digital surface models (DSM), and survey-based ortho mosaic images.
IG Drones will help NMDC Ltd. reduce surveillance costs which were done manually or through conventional methods earlier, also facilitating an accurate survey through the latest drone technology. The drone tech company will also help reduce the risks and labor costs associated with surveying such a large project.

It has also secured a contract for surveying the Uttarakhand Metro Rail Project earlier this year, marking the country’s inaugural PRT corridor under the Neo Metro System. Furthermore, IG Drones proudly undertook the surveying responsibilities for the Mumbai-Ahmedabad Bullet Train Project last year.
