  • The organization’s commitment to providing training to over 500+ teachers reflects its dedication to building capacity among educators.

  • STEMROBO’s efforts in Ghana not only strengthen its impact in the region but also contribute to the broader goal of advancing STEM education throughout Africa.

STEMROBO Technologies, an ed-tech platform focusing on leveraging Technology in the field of STEM, Robotics, IoT & Artificial Intelligence (AI) has announced a significant expansion of its operations in Ghana, West Africa. Following the successful establishment of over 50 Tinkering Labs earlier, STEMROBO has extended its reach by setting up Tinkering Labs in more than 200 schools across Ghana.

The opening of these Tinkering Labs marks a crucial milestone in STEMROBO’s mission to revolutionise STEM education and foster innovation among students in Ghana and beyond. Building upon the success of the initial 50+ labs, this expansion demonstrates STEMROBO’s commitment to providing accessible and practical STEM learning opportunities for students across the region.

The aim behind setting up these labs was to cater for the real-life problems of K-12 students ie. lack of awareness among students, teachers, and parents regarding STEM and the pivotal role of STEM education. The establishment of Tinkering Labs in over 200 schools reflects STEMROBO’s dedication to addressing the pressing need for hands-on STEM education in Ghana. Through these labs, students will have the opportunity to engage in experiential learning, hands-on experimentation, and problem-solving activities, fostering a deeper understanding of STEM concepts and cultivating essential 21st-century skills.

STEMROBO’s labs are transforming the educational landscape by providing practical learning opportunities and problem-solving skills among students. In their initial operation in April 2023, STEMROBO provided training to over 50 teachers, significantly expanding the impact of their labs. With the current expansion, they aim to extend their training to more than 500 educators, amplifying their reach and influence in the education sector.

STEMROBO’s initiatives open doors to a significant opportunity, reaching out to the 70% of schools in Ghana and other parts of Africa that have yet to realize the potential of STEM subjects in today’s world. Encouragingly, 30% of the community already engaged in Ghana has actively embraced the integration of STEM, robotics, and coding curricula in schools. Noteworthy establishments such as Healthy-Mind International School, Perpetual Help School, RECT ACADEMY, and Little Miracles International School, among others, have partnered with STEMROBO in this transformative journey.

On this expansion, Rajeev Tiwari, Co-founder, of STEMROBO Technologies said “At STEMROBO, our mission is to empower students globally with the essential skills for success in the 21st century. The establishment of 200+ STEM robotics labs in Ghana marks a significant milestone in our journey to advance STEM education in Africa. These labs serve as catalysts for innovation, providing students with hands-on learning experiences and fostering a deep understanding of STEM concepts. We are committed to working closely with educators, students, and communities to build a sustainable foundation for STEM education and create a brighter future for all.”

By investing in the future of STEM education, STEMROBO aims to inspire a new generation of innovators, entrepreneurs, and change-makers across Africa and beyond.
