Whether it’s shopping, food delivery, or education, the advancement in technology has brought everything to our fingertips. In a country as diverse and vast as India, the “one-size-fits-all” traditional mode of education has given way to new tech-backed education that is more accessible, approachable, and affordable to students as a result of technological advancements. According to Research and Markets, the EdTech market is poised to reach $10.4 billion by 2025. Especially after the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, which led to the shutting down of educational institutions and restricted students to their homes, creating a learning gap, remote learning emerged as a blessing in disguise.
Along with the creation of accessible education, the rise of edtech, or remote learning platforms, has generated the most comfortable atmosphere for students. In this regard, homeschooling has grown in popularity in India as a result of the availability of low-cost, live, interactive classes, customized curricula, and self-paced study. Furthermore, it has enabled parents to provide their children with a safe and supportive environment in which they can receive individualized education. According to Research and Markets, currently, there are more than 4,450 ed-tech startups in the country that are assisting approximately 300 million school students.
To further encourage and advocate digitalization in education, the government has launched a national education policy in 2020 that emphasizes the importance of using technology in education. With this in mind, the integration of EdTech solutions is revolutionizing education by promoting active learning and encouraging students to participate in class and engage with the subject in their own ways.
Ed-tech solutions: Changing the dynamics of education
Access to gamified learning: In the modern day, gamified learning has become increasingly popular on online education platforms. It has become the perfect way to make online education more interactive and engaging. By incorporating gaming elements like rewards and competition, students are more motivated to learn and participate. Plus, it’s not only fun, but it also helps improve retention and problem-solving skills. With instant feedback and progress tracking, gamified learning is the perfect way to make learning more exciting and interactive.
Promote personalized learning: Among various trends, personalized learning emerged as a great way to improve social and emotional education. When teachers create a learning environment that is tailored to their student’s needs and preferences, it can lead to better engagement and learning outcomes. This is where, with the help of tech tools like virtual examinations, video conferencing, and online discussion boards, educators can create a customized learning experience for each student. By using personalized learning paths, students feel more invested and engaged in their education, which can lead to improved social and emotional learning outcomes. Thus, it is safe to say that promoting personalized learning can make education more effective and enjoyable for everyone.
Create a self-learning environment. In today’s fast-paced and competitive world, self-learning is becoming increasingly crucial. That’s where EdTech comes in! By incorporating interactive elements like assignments, quizzes, and online assessments, students can learn at their own pace and advance their knowledge and abilities. This not only fosters a culture that values involvement but also increases the likelihood that students will find the best resources to enhance their cognitive function and follow the online learning trend. As a result, students’ confidence in their ability to handle challenging onboarding concepts grows, making them more adept at tackling complex ideas and better equipped to excel in their studies.
Paving the way for the future!
It’s no secret that technology has revolutionized the way we learn. EdTech solutions have been gaining immense popularity lately, and for good reason! The old-school approach to teaching and learning just doesn’t cut it anymore. One-size-fits-all strategies are out, and personalized learning is in! After all, every student is unique and responds differently to different teaching styles. By leveraging the power of EdTech solutions like gamification, personalization, and self-learning, educators can create a more dynamic and accommodating learning experience. And the best part? The future of EdTech looks brighter than ever! With innovations on the horizon, we can expect even better connectivity and interactivity, making learning a more immersive and engaging experience for students both in the classroom and at home.
