- Can you share the inspiration behind founding Appx and your vision for empowering creators in the EdTech space?
My entry into the field of EdTech commenced with my enrollment as a teacher at Unacademy, where I played a pioneering role. Participating in the Super 50 program guided by Roman Saini, I observed the rise of independent educators establishing online platforms akin to Academis. This observation underscored the imminent shift in education dynamics, indicating a departure from centralized dominance toward a landscape characterized by diverse educational entities. However, many of these educators encountered technological limitations compared to larger platforms like Unacademy or Byju’s. Recognizing this gap, we founded Appx to furnish these educators with advanced software solutions, aligning their capabilities with those of industry giants. What distinguishes Appx is our steadfast dedication to supporting online educators. Recently, one of our educators achieved remarkable success, topping the charts in the Play Store’s education category with 80,000 installations in a single day. In contrast to platforms that may falter under such demand, Appx seamlessly managed the influx, showcasing our adeptness in handling high traffic volumes. Our focused approach toward online educators from the outset, coupled with our capacity to provide cutting-edge technology at reasonable costs, sets us apart in the competitive landscape.
2. As the CEO and Co-Founder, what challenges did you encounter in the initial stages of Appx, and how did you overcome them?
Appx is committed to enriching the educational journey for both students and educators through innovative technology solutions. Our focus on user-friendly design ensures that students, including those unfamiliar with online learning, can easily navigate our platform.
