Q1: What was the thought behind starting 56 Secure? What was the need/industry gap that the founders were trying to address through the same?
The inception of 56 Secure was driven by a vision to transform the private security industry, which has been largely fragmented and outdated, despite its widespread presence. We saw a gap, an unfulfilled need in the market, and decided to step in to address it.
Together with Harshit and Troels, who brought their valuable experience from their time at OLA, I had the privilege of being a part of a dynamic team dedicated to tackling intricate challenges concerning ride safety and smart mobility for a vast fleet of vehicles. Leveraging this collective experience, Harshit, Troels and I sought to innovate in the security space and embarked on a mission to create a connected platform that would revolutionize an industry that touch the lives of people across Bengaluru.
The world is changing rapidly with urbanization and an escalating risk landscape. In a country where the police to citizen ratio is 40:100000, ensuring personalized safety is a significant challenge. The definition of safety varies for different individuals – for a young girl travelling alone in public transportation, it might mean different compared to a neighbourhood retail store or a large hospital campus.
In order to cater to this diverse need for safety, we’re building 56 Secure – a platform designed to make safety accessible through an app. It’s an innovative solution that aims to be accessible, proactive, and versatile enough to meet the safety needs of a wide cross-section of society.
Q2: How does 56 Secure’s smart app work to make security proactive, automated, and accessible? What are the key features and capabilities of 56 Secure’s app? How does it differentiate itself from other security solutions available in the market?
At 56 Secure, the smart app integrates seamlessly with an interconnected network of safety agents, PSARA-certified security partners, and AI Smart Cameras. Through location services, machine learning, and deep learning algorithms, we offer efficient and reliable security solutions.
With our app, users can monitor live security status, receive real-time updates, and trigger “SOS” alerts in emergencies. They can set up detection zones and activate the AI Siren to prevent unauthorized visits and detect suspicious activities.
Our Smart eye feature provides automatic intrusion detection and intervention response during the night. Monitored by our safety professionals, it ensures swift action in case of any anomaly. Users can also request property checks for added protection.

A key challenge was ensuring technical compatibility with pre-existing security infrastructure. We’ve countered this through robust R&D, developing integration solutions that allow seamless connections with diverse devices and platforms to create a unified security ecosystem.
We’ve minimized false alarms and improved threat detection by continually refining our AI and machine learning algorithms. In addition, we’ve leveraged AI to help businesses optimize costs and reduce manpower dependency, making security management more efficient.
As demand for our services grows, we’re scaling intelligently, utilizing deep learning and past experiences to ensure consistently high performance as we expand our offerings.

At 56 Secure, we prioritize the privacy and security of our users’ data. Both Android and Apple devices implement encryption to protect stored and transmitted data. Our app follows strict permission systems, ensuring that users have control over their data access. We collect only necessary data for our services and never share it with third-party applications. 56 Secure is committed to ongoing innovation and expansion. An exciting development is the introduction of AI Cam One, an advanced security camera with AI capabilities, created right here in India. This device, aptly named our “Security Marvel,” simplifies crime and loss prevention by eliminating the need for multiple security layers.
Looking beyond AI Cam One, we’re set on expanding our ecosystem with more devices and sensors, forming a comprehensive and adaptable security network.
In retail, these additions could monitor customer traffic, detect theft, or automate inventory. For Small to Medium Businesses (SMBs), our system can regulate facility access, supervise employee activities, and ensure safety compliance.

Q7: Can you share any success stories or testimonials from customers who have used 56 Secure’s app? How has it positively impacted their security and peace of mind?
Over a period of 3 years, we have resolved more than 2,500 SOS emergency calls, installed 5,000+ AI cameras, and secured thousands of Bengalureans with the help of our app and network of guards, ranging from medical emergencies, to women and elderly safety and prevented incidents like break-in, burglarise, etc.
In one of the incidents, an elderly subscriber found herself injured and in need of help at home. When she reached out to her neighbours for help, they activated the SOS feature provided by 56 Secure and sprang into action. Within moments, dedicated Safety Agents arrived equipped with first aid supplies and swiftly provided crucial assistance. They ensured the patient’s stability and arranged for her immediate transfer to the nearest hospital. This powerful testimonial highlights the rapid response and unwavering commitment of 56 Secure’s Safety Agents to protect and assist their subscribers in times of need.

Q8: How has the response been from the market and customers since the launch of India’s first security subscription app? Are there any plans to expand the service to other cities or countries?
Since launching India’s first security subscription app, 56 Secure has received an overwhelmingly positive response. Our app’s innovative features, reliability, and ease of use have been well-received by users and lauded by industry experts.
Beginning our journey in Indiranagar, Bengaluru, with a small group of homes, we now cater to a diverse set of residential and enterprise customers across 70 square km/125 localities in the city. Over the next year, we plan to deepen our footprint in Bengaluru, further enhancing our solution and service offerings.
Building on this foundation, our long-term mission over the next five years is to bring our comprehensive security solutions Pan-India, thereby extending the reach and impact of our pioneering security subscription model.
