1. Please share about your company and how you started.
Mirasys was founded in 2018 with a vision to provide video surveillance and analytics with esoteric expertise in cutting-edge technology with the use of AI, real-time analytics, object recognition and predictive insights, delivering unparalleled security and business intelligence with utmost accuracy. With its customer centric approach, Mirasys  enables customized solutions for specific client needs and ensures a seamless and personalized experience. As a ‘Make in India’ initiative Mirasys works in agreement with Mirasys Finland. We have already created 42 Used cases across diverse verticals, and its flagship innovations include solutions for social challenges such as Women Security, accident detection and Potholes Detection. It is an undisputed leader establishing the benchmark for innovation, sustainability, and meaningful impact. AI has played a crucial role in recent times, as we realized that it was missing on our existing VMS platform.

2. Important stats and figures around the industry you’re working in, and how are you solving them?

Overall, we are one of the leaders in the Govt Space with unified platform for VMS & AI based Analytics.  We have approximately 30% Smart city Surveillance Market share and about 25% in the Railways. We are the leader in India among global OEMs present in Government business. Mirasys has emerged as a trusted partner in the public & government domains, especially Smart & Safe City, Oil & Gas and Transportation. Mirasys solutions are currently being used across various critical areas, such as holy places and judiciary, in addition to retail store chains & outlets, and industries like manufacturing, logistics, educational institutes, sports, entertainment, banking, utility, healthcare etc.

4. How do you use technology (AI/ML/other jazz) uniquely through your offering?

As Mirasys provides affordable AI and Low TCO for all, and use VSAAS, Capex+ Opex. The Highly encrypted and Cyber Secured surveillance system uses 384bit SHA & 4096bit RSA, making Mirasys the best in the industry. All AI Analytics uses 3D calibration methodology and includes supervised and unsupervised Learning.

5. How easy or difficult is it to building an India-centric solution? Unique challenges and opportunities of solving a problem /building a business in India?

Mirasys  operates in the dynamic and rapidly evolving video surveillance and analytics industry, which presents both challenges and opportunities. Here are some prevailing challenges and opportunities that Mirasys  may be addressing or leveraging. Data Security and Privacy are the biggest challenges as with the increasing use of AI and data analytics, ensuring the security and privacy of sensitive video data is a paramount challenge. Mirasys AI analytics are highly encrypted to overcome this challenge. To comply with Regulations, including data protection and industry standards is crucial. Staying updated and adapting to evolving regulations is a continuous challenge. Mirasys  does it with ease with utilization of Rapid Technological Advancements. Another challenge is Integrating surveillance systems with other security and IT infrastructure, which can be complex. Mirasys offers solutions that facilitate seamless integration. And leads to Smart Cities, IoT based insights that are data driven. Tailoring solutions for specific industries seem to be another big challenge, such as retail, healthcare, banking, etc, but Mirasys  does it with elan.

6. What are guiding principles for your growth and success?

We are aiming at 40 % Y-o-Y growth in the Indian Region. The Key principle for this growth includes increasing demand for surveillance solutions, advancements in AI and machine learning, smart city initiatives, and the adoption of these technologies in the retail and commercial sectors. Government support and investment in public safety are also expected to fuel growth. In the future, the market is likely to expand, with AI becoming more sophisticated and integrated with IoT. In this stead we have created 42 Used cases for Various vertical. Solving Social Challenges Women safety, Pot holes detection have been projects close to our hearts.

7. What motivates you to keep doing what you are doing?
What keeps me going in this role is the belief that we’re contributing to a safer world. Knowing that our AI-based surveillance technology can protect people, prevent crimes, and even save lives is a strong motivator. We’re driven by the idea that we can make a positive impact on society by providing innovative solutions. Moreover, the responsibility to ensure ethical and responsible use of our technology motivates us to do what we do. We want to build trust and transparency, fostering a sense of security and peace of mind for everyone.”

8. If you had to do it all over again, what would you do differently? And why?
If I could go back and do it all over again, I’d put a stronger focus on ethics and privacy right from the start. It’s not just about the technology; it’s about how it’s used. Our technology can be incredibly powerful, and with that power comes a significant responsibility. I’d want to ensure that our products are always designed with the utmost respect for people’s rights and privacy. Building that ethical foundation early on would not only reflect our commitment to doing the right thing but also foster trust with our users and the community at large.”
