SOTI’s Strategic Expansion: Leveraging India’s Talent Goldmine in Tier-2,3 cities for Global Impact

CXOToday has engaged in an exclusive interview with Manish Garg, VP of India Development at SOTI

  1. How does SOTI plan to leverage the talent pool in cities like Lucknow and Kochi as part of its expansion strategy in India?

At SOTI, we are on a path of significant expansion in India. Our investment in the region reflects our commitment to expand globally and to leverage the rich talent pool available in cities like Lucknow and Kochi. Our journey began in the early days of mobility management, long before smartphones became ubiquitous. Since then, we have earned a reputation as the world’s most trusted provider of Enterprise Mobility Management (EMM) solutions. As we expand our presence in India, we recognize the immense potential that Lucknow holds, especially given the rapid proliferation of mobile phones and the ongoing digital transformation across various industries.

One of the key aspects of our expansion plan is creating a presence in North India, and Lucknow is our entry. We firmly believe that the talent pool here can contribute significantly to our company’s mission. Furthermore, our office in Gurugram will serve as our headquarters for the Asian region. This move signifies our commitment to making India a central hub for our operations in the Asian market. Gurugram’s strategic location and connectivity make it an ideal base for expanding our footprint in the region.

It’s worth noting that SOTI operates with 12 offices across the globe. We provide localized sales and enterprise support 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and we have experienced substantial growth in our reseller channel. This expansion reflects our commitment to offering world-class solutions and support to our customers and partners worldwide.

  1. Can you share insights into the successful campus recruitment drive conducted by SOTI in Lucknow and its impact on fostering local talent?

The successful Next Gen India Campus Recruitment Drive in Lucknow has had a significant impact on fostering local talent and contributing to the growth of our company. Students from various Lucknow institutions like University of Lucknow, Amity University and BBD University, actively participated in the Recruitment Drive. We are at the final stages of concluding the SOTI Roadshow. Our internal team is working hard on interviewing and onboarding talented individuals.

This event served as an excellent platform for young talent to gain valuable insights into SOTI as a company. We shared our global reach and highlighted our remarkable achievement of 112 consecutive quarters of growth and profitability over the last two decades, demonstrating our company’s stability and future growth potential.

During the Next Gen Roadshow, we provided students with a comprehensive introduction to the SOTI ONE Platform, showcasing how our products effectively address critical mobility challenges in today’s business landscape. This live demonstration allowed students to understand the impact of our solutions and their relevance in the rapidly evolving technology landscape. We also took students though SOTI’s commitment to professional and personal development. Everyone who works with us is supported and encouraged to continue to elevate their skillsets and our focus on outlining areas of development allows them the opportunity to do this.

  1. What role do Connected Enterprise Mobility solutions play in creating new opportunities for local talent, and how is SOTI contributing to this?

Connected Enterprise Mobility solutions are reshaping India’s tech industry while offering novel career opportunities and SOTI is leading the charge.

We recognize this shift and our goal is to provide cutting-edge solutions for distributed workforces. Our innovations enhance productivity, collaboration, security, visibility and performance, unlocking new possibilities for business-critical mobility solutions. We’re fostering local talent and propelling the tech industry into a dynamic future.

  1. Could you elaborate on the initiatives SOTI has undertaken to empower young Indian professionals and support their career development?

During the SOTI Roadshow, we spoke about the different global career opportunities offered by SOTI for Freshers. Freshers will have not only the opportunity to work with leading technology but work on key projects that allow them to make an impact and showcase their talent.

Once our selection process is complete, Freshers will be highly trained on our SOTI products before they are immersed into big projects. The team at SOTI supports our new employees and enrols them in an extensive training process. We prioritize investing in all our employees. We believe that everyone one, even new graduates, should be a part of making a big change in mobile technology.

Lastly, at SOTI, we focus on our employees’ potential and tie their personal growth with our progression career ladder. We don’t limit career growth – if we see you have the potential and drive, there are endless possibilities at SOTI! While Freshers start within our Software Engineering teams, at SOTI, they get the opportunity to grow their career into either the tech or management stream. We are proud that we invest a lot of resources into career growth and development, and we have plans in place to support them.
