SportVot: Revolutionizing Grassroots Sports with Real-Time Insights and Streaming Technology

Can you shed light on the inspiration behind the inception of SportVot, and how has the platform evolved since its launch? We would like to explore the key milestones and significant improvements made over time.
In 2019, Mr. Yash Bhagwatkar, Ms. Shubhangi Gupta, and I jointly established SportVot. The inception of our idea stemmed from our involvement in evaluating IPL player performances and providing guidance to a cricketer who sought our assistance in analyzing his career statistics. This experience shed light on the lack of a structured and transparent talent discovery process in grassroots sports throughout India. To bridge this gap, we created SportVot, an innovative platform that offers real-time, accurate statistical insights and video data for grassroots sports. Along our journey, we achieved significant milestones. In August 2022, we secured seed round funding, enabling expansion and engagement with sports communities in new regions. We successfully streamed 264 games across 5 sports from diverse locations, including remote areas in Assam and rural villages in Maharashtra, making our technology accessible to all. In January, we introduced the DS3 sports club for football and utilized our performance analysis technology to scout for talent. In June, DS3 achieved a clean sweep victory, propelling them to the Super Division in their inaugural season. This achievement provided a platform for unrecognized sports talent, integrating them into the mainstream of the sports ecosystem.
The sports industry is known for its fierce competition. In what ways has SportVot managed to differentiate itself from other sports-related platforms? What unique features or approaches have contributed to its success?
Our platform provides cost-effective and easily accessible global sports streaming services. With a smartphone and internet connection, individuals from all corners of the world can enjoy live match broadcasts. Through our innovative cloud studio, we have empowered mobile devices with professional broadcasting capabilities. By continuously advancing our cloud technology, we have ensured that our services are not limited by geographical boundaries and remain affordable for everyone. Additionally, SportVot has enabled tournament organizers and sports organizations to generate revenue from matches, while athletes can discover new and improved opportunities to showcase their skills. This mutually beneficial arrangement adds substantial value to the sports community and benefits all involved parties.
SportVot has garnered attention for providing athletes with recognition and opportunities. Could you share a few success stories of athletes who have benefited from the platform? We are particularly interested in understanding how SportVot has helped them advance their careers.
SportVot has gained a reputation for empowering athletes by providing them with recognition and valuable opportunities. One remarkable success story involves the Mumbai Upnagar Kabaddi women’s team, whose participation in the State Championship was made possible through SportVot’s assistance. By offering comprehensive performance analysis data, the platform has aided sports associations in their talent scouting and selection processes, promoting fairness and transparency. Moreover, SportVot’s Level Up talent discovery program has enabled talented amateur players to showcase their skills and secure positions with professional and semi-professional football teams. Notably, several participants from the program have had the privilege of representing prestigious Mumbai-based clubs like Storm Chasers, Mumbai Marines FC, and Mumbai Ultras FC. Additionally, SportVot has forged valuable partnerships for athletes, including national-level women athletes such as Harjeet Sandhu, Sapna Jaiswal, Sayali Keripale, and Pranali Nagdeote, who are now official healthcare partners of Nexus Day Surgery Centre. In addition to boosting visibility and talent discovery, SportVot plays a crucial role in helping athletes attain financial stability and independence through brand associations.
As an industry insider, what future trends do you foresee in the sports technology sector? How is SportVot prepared to adapt and stay ahead of these changes? We would appreciate any insights you can provide on upcoming innovations and strategies.

When it comes to the SportVot app, our primary focus has always been on enhancing user experience. We prioritize providing an interactive environment through a real-time live chat feature, enabling users to connect with the community. The app keeps digital player profiles constantly updated, allowing fans to stay informed about their favorite players’ achievements and provide support throughout their journey. To engage both fans and players, the app presents a detailed points table showcasing team standings in a tournament and highlights top performers. Instant highlight moments are also available to ensure users never miss a thing. Moreover, the app offers various tools for a customized experience, including the Voter’s Choice feature for voting on favorite players and the ‘Moments’ feature for capturing and sharing favorite match moments across social media platforms.
Finally, we would love to provide our readers with an exclusive glimpse into any upcoming features or developments that SportVot users can look forward to. Is there anything you would like to share regarding exciting new features or updates that are in the pipeline?
SportVot is currently engaged in several significant initiatives. On the technological front, we are diligently developing a premium feature known as the Graphics Editor. This tool empowers sports organizers and associations to personalize their scoring graphics swiftly and effortlessly, akin to Canva for sports graphics. Additionally, our focus extends to enhancing remote production capabilities. In terms of talent discovery, our initial concentration has been on Cricket, Kabaddi, and Football in Maharashtra and Delhi. However, we aspire to broaden our horizons by expanding into diverse geographical areas and athletic disciplines. Recent ventures in Gujarat and Bihar for Kabaddi have been promising, and our ultimate goal is to streamline the nationwide process of identifying talented athletes. This endeavour aims to provide them with ample opportunities to showcase their exceptional abilities.
