Can you share the founders’ vision and the inspiring story that led to the creation of Intozi?

Absolutely! The vision behind Intozi is to leverage video analytics technology to solve real-world business problems across various industries. It all started when my friend Naresh and I noticed a significant issue in his friend’s startup – revenue leakage due to staff not properly recording customer visits and sales. This got us thinking about how we could use technology to tackle this problem. And we both envisaged that they need to run video analytics on the camera stream of cameras installed at entry points of outlets.

I had already been working on advanced technologies like computer vision for things like Advanced Driver Assistance Systems. So, when Naresh approached me with this problem, it immediately clicked. Hence, we realized there wasn’t a ready-made solution available in the market that could address this specific challenge effectively.

So, we decided to take matters into our own hands. With dedication and limited resources, we built our first prototype within three months and had a beta version ready in another three. When we deployed it in early 2019, we saw a remarkable decline in revenue leakage at some outlets.

This success inspired us to formalize our efforts into a startup, Intozi. Our mission now is to continue developing solutions that harness the power of video analytics to solve various business challenges across different industries. We believe there’s immense potential in this technology to make a significant impact, and we’re excited to be at the forefront of it.

How does Intozi’s proprietary software contribute to powering a wide array of video AI applications, benefiting both customers and developers?

Our flagship offering IKSHANA is an enterprise video analytics platform that enables the seamless development, expansion, and management of real-time computer vision and deep learning applications. IKSHANA has over 99+ video analytics applications, which cater to a wide range of use cases across multiple domains. It offers users the flexibility to run any video analytic application on any video source, empowering enterprises with freedom and customization options.

Could you elaborate on the pivotal role of video analytics in bolstering safety measures across smart cities, traffic management systems, and other domains?

Video analytics plays a major role in enhancing safety measures across smart cities, traffic management systems, and other domains. In smart cities, video analytics can monitor crowded areas, detect anomalies, and identify potential security threats, thereby enabling authorities to respond promptly to incidents and ensure public safety. In traffic management systems, video analytics can optimize traffic flow, detect accidents or congestion, and enforce traffic regulations.

By analysing video feeds from surveillance cameras, authorities can implement proactive measures to alleviate traffic congestion and enhance road safety. Moreover, it also enables predictive maintenance by monitoring infrastructure such as bridges and roads for signs of wear and tear, helping to prevent accidents and ensure structural integrity. In industrial and commercial settings, video analytics can enhance workplace safety by identifying safety hazards and enforcing compliance with safety protocols.
