  • In recent times, Technology has played a key role in the industry. Please let us know how technology has revolutionized in India and the innovations in the last years.

Technology has played a vital role in revolutionizing industries in India, with various innovative advancements being made in recent years. It has expanded its wings in various sectors including healthcare, education, entertainment, finance, etc. Skincare and hair care is not a backfall in this. Old school creams have been transformed into masks, which have in turn evolved into opulent spa facials, and facials have evolved into LED therapies created by the brightest minds in business, i.e., NASA. This is how Winston is also taking the lead of the industry by offering such advanced solutions for different personal care concerns.

  • What are the pros & cons of using technology advanced tools?

Technology has revolutionized the way we work and live, providing us with advanced tools that make our lives easier and more efficient. Undoubtedly, every coin has two faces but when it comes to techno-driven tools, it brings more pros as compared to cons.

On the positive side, technology advanced tools can greatly improve our productivity and efficiency. For example, techno-based skincare tools are designed to deliver targeted results and improve the effectiveness of your skincare routine. They can penetrate deeper into the skin to provide better exfoliation, hydration, and stimulation.

Moreover, technology advanced tools offer convenient results within the comfort. For e.g. Advanced tools such as LED masks and at-home hair removal devices can be used at home, providing convenience and eliminating the need for frequent salon or clinic visits.

When it comes to disadvantages, techno-driven tools can be somewhat costly as compared to manual solutions. However, investing in them is worth it as it’s like a one-time investment or you can say long-term investment.

  • Tell us about the Startup industry and the contribution of Shark Tank in India.

The startup industry is a growing sector of the global economy that comprises young and innovative companies that are focused on developing and introducing new products or services which focus on providing solutions to different consumers’ needs and wants. Shark Tank India is giving a new face to these startups as it has given to Winston, where we raised ₹1 Crore of funding at Shark Tank season 2. It is funded by renowned investors Anupam Mittal & Vineeta Singh for equity of 10% on a valuation of Rs. 10 crores.

It can be said that Shark Tank is the brand-new Indian Premier League. IPL started off as a typical sports league and has now developed into a $1 billion brand. In a similar vein, Shark Tank is developing into a distinctive brand that acknowledges the value of unique startups and collaborates with them to grow their careers. Overall, Shark Tank India has played a significant role in fostering entrepreneurship in India and has helped to create successful businesses that contribute to the country’s economy.

  • Share your journey from an engineering IT professional to an Entrepreneur. Talk about the inception of the brand during covid times

The journey from being a normal IT engineering student to having my own techno-driven brand is not less than living a dream. For me, the phrase “business” was always recognisable because I come from a family that values achievement and has a history of taking on diverse businesses like LG and Luminous. A desire of mine has always been to own a brand. The COVID phase eventually made my business decision plain.

Started in the Year 2021, when everybody was fighting with COVID impacts, sacrificing personal care routine was also one of the impacts people were facing.   • Challenges in your industry and how are you tackling them? Share the biggest challenge you faced and how did you overcome it?

Nikita and I were able to grow our brand Winston Electronics quite smoothly because of the lessons we had learned from our previous firm. Big goals often necessitate overcoming obstacles, and my greatest obstacle was to justify our prices. When we entered this technologically advanced grooming sector, there were other brands offering comparable goods for incredibly low prices. However,  technique was effective in capturing the attention of the crowd. Even look and touch was so premium that you can make out the difference in others and ours at first sight.Customers soon came to realize this and began to spread positive feedback and explain why they preferred our products to those of competitors. So yes, this was a kind of first victory for our brand Winston.

  • Shed light on the role of technology in the coming years, especially when so many new brands are entering the market ?

Technology has already captured a significant part of the market and there is no doubt the competency is on peak with ample of brands entering the market with top of the lane ideas. While for brands, it’s the challenge to bring on better techno-driven solutions every now and then but for consumers it’s going to be a boon with effortless solutions for each and every task.

For instance, skincare has advanced significantly in a world full of innovations.   • What is the role of e-commerce today and how it has contributed towards your entrepreneur journey so far?

E-commerce has transformed the way we shop, offering convenience and accessibility for consumers, while enabling businesses to reach a wider audience and compete in the global market. As an electrical appliances entrepreneur, e-commerce has played a critical role in my journey so far, enabling me to reach a larger audience and sell Winston products on a global scale. By leveraging e-commerce platforms and digital marketing techniques, I have been able to showcase my products to potential customers, provide personalized recommendations and support, and gain valuable insights into customer behavior and preferences.
