Cygnet Infotech obtains two key certifications – SOC2 Type II + HITRUST & CMMI® maturity level

Cygnet Infotech shows commitment to establishing strong operational policies, data protection & privacy protocols

Cygnet Infotech, a leading a global Technology Products & Services company has received two significant certifications – SOC2 Type II + HITRUST assessment and the CMMI® maturity level 3. The successful certification signifies that Cygnet Infotech, in collaboration with available managed services, offers customers assurance around comprehensive security, integrity, availability, and confidentiality to ensure privacy and protection of all data processed in Cygnet’s Data Center and its products.

Achieving SOC 2 security compliance highlights the company’s operational excellence and underscores its ability and commitment to keeping sensitive client data safe. In addition to achieving this internationally recognized standard, Cygnet follows other industry best practices, including IT Act, Europe’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). The audit process revealed no expectations, showcasing Cygnet Infotech’s commitment to establishing strong operational policies, data protection, & privacy protocols.

SOC compliance is a component of the American Institute of CPAs’ (AICPA) Service Organization Control reporting platform, intended to assure the security, availability, processing integrity, confidentiality, and privacy of customer data. SOC 2 audits are both technical and pragmatic, as they require that a company document and follow comprehensive information security policies and procedures.

Cygnet Infotech has been committed to process excellence since its inception and has been compliant with CMMI best practices since 13+ years. The company opted for early adoption of CMMI 2.0 and decided to get appraised for the upgraded version despite the changes in the appraisal methodology. With 11 projects and 2 functional departments, significant portion of the product and services portfolio was covered under the appraisal. Through robust process definition and implementation, Cygnet successfully cleared the required appraisal with KPMG and secured CMMI for Development – Maturity Level 3 rating

Commenting on the receipt of these key certifications, Mr. Niraj Hutheesing, Founder and Managing Director, Cygnet Infotech said, “We are pleased to have achieved this milestone of completing the SOC2 Type II + HITRUST assessment and being appraised at CMMI® maturity level 3, as they are widely recognized and highly esteemed certifications and showcase our commitment to our customers. We are always at the forefront of delivering excellent, superior quality services by following utmost security procedures. This endorsement reinforces the trust our customers have in our services while enabling us to comply with all the industry and government norms.”

Cygnet Infotech has been pursuing these voluntary examinations to both improve its practices and demonstrate its commitment to provide trustworthy and transparent solutions, giving clients, vendors, and employees peace of mind that they can do business with Cygnet worry-free.  Cygnet views the feedback loop generated from periodic third-party reviews — including active dialogue with auditors — as the best means to improve forward-looking operations.
