Enabling clean mobility ecosystem, Micelio’s Global Clean Mobility Summit sees 300 leaders join forces

Micelio Mobility, a pioneer in India’s clean mobility revolution, concluded its Global Clean Mobility Summit where key announcements and partnerships for the betterment of India’s sustainable transportation environment. Japanese major, Honda’s Honda Power Pack Energy India Pvt. Ltd., showcased their cutting-edge battery exchanger along with Emobi, a 2-wheeler startup and a 3-wheeler OEM at the summit. The premier, Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI) also announced that the Digital Twin facility in collaboration with Micelio is operational to bolster India’s efforts in achieving the Prime Minister’s goal of net-zero carbon emissions by 2070.

 

The event saw the primer release of the report ‘Catalysing Electric Mobility: Insights from across the Electric Mobility Value Chain’, co-authored by RMI India, NSRCEL and Micelio.

 

This remarkable event brought together more than 300 thought leaders, including founders, investors, and policymakers, with the theme of ‘scalability and collaboration’.

 

Speaking at the event, Shreyas Shibulal, Founder & Director of Micelio Mobility said, “It’s with great enthusiasm that I commence the Global Clean Mobility Summit, uniting electric mobility pioneers, visionaries, and government leaders. I firmly believe in India’s potential as a clean mobility tech leader, and I encourage all of us to innovate and collaborate in achieving a sustainable future.”

 

The keynote speaker, Amitabh Kant, G20 Sherpa of India and Former CEO, NITI Aayog, said at his address, “In the journey towards an EV-dominated future, India must prioritize building a strong battery value chain. Engaging in strategic partnerships with prestigious institutions such as IITs and NITs serves as a dynamic catalyst within the EV ecosystem, igniting innovation and fostering growth in this transformative field. Extensive research and innovation are vital to create a cleaner, sustainable India, showing our commitment to a greener, eco-conscious tomorrow.”

 

Present at the summit, Kris Gopalakrishnan, Co-founder, Infosys said, “This is a great opportunity for all stakeholders in the clean mobility space to come together and have a dialogue and come up with solutions to better our environment. I have always believed that mobility is one of the key entrepreneurship models for India to pursue currently. Micelio with its endeavour and through this summit is enabling and encouraging such efforts manifold and I applaud them for it.”

 

Other key speakers included Dr. Anshuman Awasthi, VP, R&D – EV and Hybrid, Mercedes Benz, Ranjitha Ravi, Co-founder, Orxa Energy, Takuya Taniguchi, President & CMD, Honda e:SWAP, Vishesh Rajaram, Co-founder & Managing Partner, Speciale Invest, and Anandi Iyer, Director, Fraunhofer Office India | Chair, G20 Empower, Working Group on Women in STEM. The discourse of the conversations focused on e-mobility investments and policies, providing invaluable insights into the clean transportation landscape.

 

Dr. Reji Mathai, Director of the Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI), said at his address, “E-Mobility is a part of a larger picture of Energy independent clean air program of India. “Boosting component-level manufacturing is a cornerstone of our country’s progress.” Equally important is ensuring the robust and durable components to enhance stakeholder confidence. In essence, India’s goal is to march towards carbon neutrality by minimising CO2 emissions and carbon footprint in the whole ecosystem from cradle to grave.”

 

With its steady growth and substantial investments, Micelio Mobility is actively contributing to India’s goal of achieving net-zero carbon emissions by 2070.
