Jetking Infotrain launches a Cybersecurity and Penetration Testing course with Onkar Sonawane

Cybersecurity

In 2021, the world recorded $6 trillion in damages from cybercrime globally. In 2022, cyber-attacks were expected to affect more than 6 billion people.

Over the past few years, there has been a considerable increase in the need for cyber security employment. By 2023, there will be more than 1 million open positions in the field of cybesecurity, but fewer than 400,000 people will have received cybersecurity training. The field of cyber security is constantly expanding. In 2023 and 2025, respectively, it is predicted to expand by 11% and 20%. Keeping in mind the current scenario, Jetking Infotrain, along with India’s youngest ethical hacker, Onkar Sonawane, announced the launch of their new Cybersecurity and Penetration Testing Course to address the growing need for cybersecurity professionals.

The course is the brainchild of Mr. Harsh Bharwani, who is working to promote education and awareness in areas like cybersecurity and emerging technologies, and Mr. Onkar Sonawane, who holds expertise in threat intelligence, vulnerability assessment, network security, and data protection. The course is designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary to protect organisations from cyberattacks. The total duration of the course will be six months, which includes a combination of online lectures, hands-on exercises, and real-world examples to ensure that students have a thorough understanding of the material.

The course is open to enrollees of all ability levels, from beginners to seasoned professionals. It covers topics such as the cyber security ecosystem, Kali in-depth and leverage; pen-testing tools and techniques, advanced practicals; and also solves complex cases of security breaches. Upon successful completion of the course, the student will be awarded certification from Jetking Infotrain and Alancesec.

“India has a staggering 84% of SMBs (small and medium businesses) that are concerned about cybersecurity attacks in comparison to countries like the Philippines, New Zealand, Australia, and China”, said Onkar Sonawane. “With the rise of cyber attacks, it’s more important than ever to have trained professionals who can protect sensitive information from falling into the wrong hands. That’s why we created this course—to help students develop the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in this critical field.”

The need for cyber security professionals will only grow as a variety of diverse companies, including banks, the government, retail, and the BFSI sector, actively recruit them. Professionals like information security analysts, software developers, and web developers, to mention a few, will benefit in the coming years. The below statistic shows the growing demands of these jobs from 2016 to 2026.

“Jetking has been a thought leader in providing advanced courses and achieving milestones in the fields of blockchain, cybersecurity, and cloud computing. Jetking Infotrain has so far successfully trained over 10 lakh students and professionals over a period of 6–7 decades, with a ratio of 85–90% placements in the market. Considering the number of cybercrimes increasing in India, we partnered with a renowned name in the cybersecurity space, Onkar Sonawane. Being a young achiever, we knew he would be the right fit in curating a course that will be readily accepted by the industry at large.” said Harsh Bharwani, CEO and MD Jetking Infotrain

76% of the global workforce lacks the skills needed to function in the new, digitally driven workplaces because of how quickly the workplace is changing.
