Protectt.ai joins Data Security Council of India (DSCI) to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Cyber Security Awareness Month (CSAM); unites leaders from the cyber world to kickstart CSAM 2023 Campaign

Data Security Council of India (DSCI) has kick-started the CSAM 2023 campaign to mark the 20 years of Cybersecurity Awareness Month Initiative. The event was commenced with a traditional bell-ringing ceremony at the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), showcasing the significance of cybersecurity awareness within the financial and business community.

The annual Cyber Security Awareness Month (CSAM) campaign revolves around “Cyber Safety Starts With YOU” as the theme for this edition. It has been designed carefully to educate and inspire individuals not only from all generations, but also from all backgrounds to protect their online presence proactively. CSAM 2023 campaign has been launched with an aim to empower individuals to take control of their online security.

At the opening ceremony, Vinayak Godse, CEODSCI said, “In this year’s CSAM theme, ‘Cyber Safety Starts With YOU,’ we put the individual at the heart of cybersecurity. Every individual carrying a vigilant approach is the best defence against Cyber threats and it is the need of the hour. Our mission is to raise awareness and empower individuals to strengthen online security.”

Manish Mimani, Founder & CEO, Protectt.ai, expressed his enthusiasm for the Cyber Security Awareness initiative campaign. Sharing his views at the panel discussion, ‘Mobile and YOU – How Safe Are You in the Era of Social Engineering, Financial Frauds, AI & ML, Crypto’, he said, “In the realm of Digital era, Cybersecurity stands as an utmost priority due to evolving cyber threats, fraud and their severe impacts. As we say, ‘Human is the weakest link in Cyber Security”, we can overcome that by promoting cyber awareness. Our aim is to build a cyber-resilient society by fostering a culture of cyber hygiene. Cybersecurity awareness is a crucial element of national development and to protect individuals in an increasingly interconnected digital landscape.”

Protectt.ai compliments DSCI’s unique concept of screensaver and wallpaper to educate people about Better Cyber Habits. The motive of this new initiative was to highlight the importance spreading awareness among individuals to take control of their online security. They served as a visual reminder of the impact of simple yet essential cybersecurity habits.

The importance of Cybersecurity Awareness Month extends beyond individuals to include organizations, their employees, and families too. Protectt.ai urged organizations that awareness is an imperative parameter for strengthening the cybersecurity postures and a dedicated approach to promote cyber awareness to benefit our organizations and citizens.
