ZS, a global management consulting and technology firm focused on transforming healthcare and beyond, has once again earned a spot on the AVTAR and Seramount list of the “Top 10 Best Companies for Women in India.” This marks the third consecutive year that ZS has received this recognition, emphasizing the company’s commitment to cultivating a diverse and inclusive workplace that empowers women professionals.
ZS was named an “Exemplar of Inclusion” in the fifth edition of Most Inclusive Companies Index (MICI) by Avtar & Seramount. This recognizes our commitment to build an equitable and inclusive workplace across gender, people with disabilities LGBTQ+, generations, regions and more.
The 2023 Avtar & Seramount Best Companies for Women in India (BCWI) study assessed 354 applicant companies spanning every major industry, geographical location and line of business. Applicant companies were required to provide granular data on their practices, programs and policies to ensure proof of gender inclusion at their workplaces. The study accepted applications from companies that met the eligibility criteria of at least 500 employees in India across the gender spectrum.

The average representation of women overall is an inspiring 36.9% this year in 2023, up from 25% in 2016 at the study’s launch. At the Top 10 companies, average women’s representation reported in 2023 is at 41.7%. At this current rate, a 50:50 gender balance at these Best Companies will be a reality by 2030—a much sooner time frame given the repercussions of the pandemic. While we celebrate the progress made, we must also be vigilant of the challenges that still persist. Inclusion is an ongoing commitment; constantly innovating, focusing on growth aspirations of diversity talent and curating a culture of care must be part of leadership priorities, always. Measuring and monitoring success metrics associated with these initiatives is non-negotiable.”
