How technology is changing the beauty and makeup landscape in India.

With the incorporation of AI, Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality into skincare and makeup, the beauty industry is revolutionising at an accelerating rate. With people demanding newer and better beauty services, personalization of individual needs is the key now. AI has definitely paved its way in the beauty & skincare industry that too so beautifully! Those were the times when we used to go to the Parlour to get ready for the wedding and look good in pictures but now AI has completely changed the dynamics! We can all get that chiseled makeup look without even applying any!

Beauty backed by science is the need of the hour. Brands are making innovative strategies to pair consumers with medical practitioners to get personalised skincare. I’m pretty sure you have seen those beauty apps where you can click your picture and choose the lipstick shade that works the best for you. I mean a few years ago who would have thought buying a makeup product would be this easy and that too your matched shade! We can even get personalised skincare products by just filling up some questions. Where new-age brands are immersing themselves in their innovative technologies, older brands, too, are re-inventing themselves to cope with the changing times & doing a commendable job in revolutionising the beauty industry.

We have come a long way from home remedies such as face masks to AI ones! Now you can easily find some cool Tech- Embedded products like AI Masks which claim to do the job of dermatologists in the comfort of your home or some face tools that elevate the skincare routine. Virtual Try Ons, virtual makeup, and Smart mirrors assist with caring for and beautifying your skin effectively; all of it is seamlessly possible today. The digital world will merge more with the natural world, bringing out possibilities never heard of or seen before. I believe the balance of both the extremities – age-old traditions and new technologies, can truly benefit us!
