Arthan Organizes Forum for ‘Using Data and AI for Social Good’ to Find Ways for NGOs to Overcome Hurdles in Adopting Data and AI Technologies

Arthan is organizing the second forum in the series ‘Using Data and AI for Social Good’ on December 15, 2021. The focus of the second forum is going to be on pertinent areas such as challenges of making data and AI accessible to smaller NGOs in India, lack of quality data to implement AI-based solutions, and so on.

Today, our world is facing several complex and severe environmental and social challenges, the prominent among those being climate change, inequality, and poverty. At a time when the UN has earmarked Sustainable Development Goals for overall global welfare, such issues are pegging the growth down. However, by using advanced data and artificial intelligence tools, it is possible to solve these as well as the other developmental challenges of the day. There is a lot of debate and strategic discussion taking place on different platforms on this subject.

As a part of its ongoing endeavors to conduct strategic expert discussions on these high impact themes, Arthan is now going to hold the forum which is going to witness participation from leading luminaries from various institutions such as INSEAD, Sterlite Technologies, Ltd., Pratham, GIZ India, Omidyar Network and ARTPARK@IISC. The list of prominent speakers includes Akanksha Sharma (Sterlite Technologies Ltd.), Prof. Jasjit Singh (INSEAD), Dolly Agarwal (Pratham Education Foundation), Gaurav Sharma (GIZ India), Subhashish Bhadra (Omidyar Network) and Raghu Dharmaraju, (ARTPARK @IISC).
