  1. How does India’s EV production and battery manufacturing infrastructure currently support the growth of electric vehicles in the country?

India’s EV production and battery manufacturing infrastructure is crucial to the growth of electric vehicles in the country. That said, it is important to acknowledge that the current infrastructure also presents some challenges that hinder the widespread adoption of EVs in India.

One of the significant challenges faced by India’s EV market is the high cost of batteries. The government, however, is also solving this with measures to support local battery manufacturing through progressive policies which will reduce battery costs in the future. Nevertheless, despite these challenges, several initiatives have been implemented to encourage faster EV adoption. Tax exemptions have also been announced on electric vehicle components like batteries and chargers, to promote local manufacturing.

The growth of the EV market in India is not solely dependent on the production of EVs; the development of EV technology tailored to Indian conditions is equally vital. Our flagship product – HiLoad EV features a liquid-cooled battery pack for enhanced efficiency and reliability to withstand extreme Indian temperatures and road conditions. Our proprietary software application, Euler Shepherd, collects and analyses data to optimize performance, enhance the driving experience, enable predictive maintenance, and identify potential issues.

Additionally, our HiLoad EV comes in with a range of charging solutions and a well-established network of charging stations with both AC and DC fast charging capabilities, unlike any other commercial EV.

Could you provide more information about Euler Motors’ battery pack design, which incorporates active liquid cooling technology to withstand Indian road conditions and extreme temperatures, and its significance for the commercial vehicle segment?

Commercial vehicles in India are subject to heavy-duty cycles and are often driven in stop-and-go traffic in extreme temperatures, which can lead to acceleration, battery degradation, and reduced performance. To withstand these extreme temperatures and road conditions in India, we have developed a customized 12.96 kWh IP67 Lithium-ion battery pack setting new industry benchmarks. Euler Motors’ active liquid cooling technology helps to keep the battery temperature stable, which improves battery life and overall performance. Additionally, the technology helps to reduce the risk of battery fires, which can be a safety hazard for drivers and passengers. Euler Motors’ battery pack design is a key differentiator that positions them as a leader in the Indian EV market.

What charging solutions and infrastructure does Euler Motors offer for their electric vehicles

We continue collaborating with the industry to unlock public charging networks, while we provide a charging ecosystem to enable our customers to be on the move, always. To complement the newly designed HiLoad EV 2023, we have incorporated critical software features such as public charging compatibility and remote immobilization. The Euler Flash 27 Fast Charger is capable of charging in the least possible time frame. Euler Motors is the only company, giving you the 26-kW lightning charge option that minimises vehicle downtime. Our simple plug-and-play charging option can be accessed anywhere, ensuring convenience for customers.

While we continue collaborating with the industry to unlock public charging networks, our growing infrastructure of charging stations is currently at over 200 with 500+ charging points.

Can you explain Euler Motors’ approach to autonomous driving and its integration into their electric vehicles?

We believe that autonomous driving systems are essential for the commercial vehicle industry- that is tailored for Indian roads and traffic. Employing machine learning algorithms and active learning from real-world scenarios helps the vehicle adapt to dynamic road conditions. At Euler, we are working towards integrated ADAS in our future product line to ultimately drive a safer and more efficient on-road driving experience.

Can you describe the software and data analytics capabilities employed by Euler Motors?

At Euler Motors, we utilize advanced software and data analytics to optimize our EV performance, enhance fleet management, and deliver a seamless customer experience. Our proprietary software, Euler Shepherd, is a suite of applications that provide continuous remote monitoring and management of the fleet of vehicles to our customers.

Just as a shepherd herds the cattle, Euler Shepherd helps manage Euler vehicles. Through the mobile app Shepherd Lite, the customer has a real-time view of vital metrics of the vehicle like battery life, range left, time to full charge, etc. The customer also receives critical alerts on vehicle and battery performance, a view of historic rides, and more. The browser-based web application, Shepherd Enterprise, provides more exhaustive fleet management activities like active and fleet/operations-based reports and data analytics.
