  • How does AI-powered technology revolutionize the editing process and enhance industry standards?

As opposed to traditional methods, AI-powered editing is faster, more cost-effective, and covers a broader range of content areas. The innovation enables editorial teams to unleash their creativity and enhance their work. Algorithms analyze and tag content that helps bring out the key moments, generating highlights and even allowing for personalization of content. We offer innovative products with best in class features to make content production and repurposing easier and fun. One does not need to be a digital or a video editing expert to use our tools. The machine does the work for you, ensuring a high degree of accuracy without disrupting existing workflows. AI learns from humans and we have spent hours refining the models to understand and analyze the content, resulting in the most accurate output.

Some of the product features recently deployed at Magnifi have garnered great success. One notable feature is the ability to bulk “Auto-flip” aspect ratio to convert over 70 videos simultaneously into a mobile-optimized format and auto-production of mobile-friendly Web Stories for sports. We also are pioneers in the “Ball Tracking” technology that keeps the frame focussed on the ball at the centre of the frame ensuring the key-moment is not cropped out while adjusting aspect ratios.

Every step of our journey has been guided by meticulous research and a deep understanding of the precise challenges our target customer is looking to overcome. Our internal mandate is to provide solutions to fit the customer’s exact requirements and work alongside the customer to provide agile solutions.

While Sports was our initial core focus we are proud to say that today our technology renders itself seamlessly to entertainment and news content as well. Our recent acquisition of Reely.ai has expanded our offerings to cover Esports and gaming and today we also serve individual content creators with illusto and have expanded our reach beyond demographics and industries.

What is the organizational culture and leadership style at VideoVerse that contributes to its success in the market?

We address challenges as a team and believe in the people-first approach. Our intention is to create a dynamic company culture where our team is driven to succeed and push boundaries.

The technology industry is known to be one of the fastest changing with inherent challenges.  At VideoVerse while we prioritize product and innovation, we also understand the importance of allowing the team the space to falter and learn from mistakes.. We place a great deal of emphasis on maintaining a  healthy work life balance considering the flexible work schedule to match the sports season and other media requirements that we work within. We actively promote the importance of mental health and the need to be able to talk about it and be free from the stigmas that come alongside it.

It is the team’s belief in the product that makes VideoVerse the success it is today.

  • What are some of the emerging technologies that VideoVerse is closely monitoring or incorporating into its platform to stay at the forefront of the industry?

Over the past two years, we have witnessed seamless braiding of technology and business strategies breaking from the stereotypical business approaches and redefining business dexterity. The world witnessed consequential breakthroughs within a short span of time revolutionising existent technologies and even bringing new ones to challenge existing workflows.

At VideoVerse we are continually seeking integrations that allow for an enhancement to the existing process resulting in higher efficiency and optimum production processes. An area where we are leveraging generative AI is in content search and analysis. However, we are taking it a step further by exploring generative videos to meet the growing demand for graphics and video-based communication.

We are closely monitoring the play of AR/VR technologies that represent an immersive viewing experience. But we aim to go beyond just the visual enhancement and create 3D stadiums which would allow for a stadium viewing experience right from the comfort of the bedrooms.

  • How does generative AI impact the creative work landscape, and what role does it play in transforming traditional creative processes within VideoVerse?

Generative AI serves as a powerful tool for research, ideation and often inspiration. These models are trained on vast data sets, the AI surmises the user needs and predicts their search based on different inputs. By leveraging generative AI, users can tap into new sources and ways to optimise workflows, find inspiration and push the boundaries of their creativity.

The key is to remember that AI is a tool that collaborates with human creativity aiming to complement and augment human abilities. Integrating AI into the workflow will enable creative professionals to become more productive with better efficiency.

The concept holds true to video production as many forward-thinking brands are now discovering. These businesses are incorporating generative AI into their workflows to expedite and enhance video production significantly. Video editors can today transcend the tedious production cycles, and act in an editorial capacity for all AI sports highlights. They can also exert a greater influence downstream, generating marketing and publicity of  AI sports highlights.

Though video is a multimedia output, it begins with text in the form of a script. Smart brands are now turning to large language models (LLM) like ChatGPT to generate these new video ideas. In addition to idea generation, generative AI has become increasingly important to the video production process itself, as a personal experience Many brands are adopting to AI-based solutions such as  ours to enhance their production process.

Drawing from the variety of work we do in the streaming and broadcasting sphere, besides the automation of the post-production processes which allow for speed and scale,  an imminent area we lend our technology to which is seeing more use cases is content analysis and moderation. Content filtration has become increasingly uncertain and challenging for creators in today’s rapidly changing media landscape, regulation and dogmas.

To mitigate challenges, our algorithms help detect and filter sensitive content and address risks involved while also adhering to viewer sensibilities and ensuring a safe user experience.

Today content needs to be delivered on a global scale and AI-enabled transcription and translation make content more accessible and engaging to the audiences.

These are just a few examples that reinforce my belief in AI, and how it enhances efficiency, improves content quality, and enriches the viewer experience in live streaming and broadcasting.
